I’ve been a good girl and working on Artist Alley arts (finally)!  Currently working on arts for Vampire Knight, The World Ends With You, and the rest of the Gurren Lagaan ones I wanted to make.  I know Phi is working on Phoenix Wright chibis too!  We haven’t received our table number for Artist Alley at Anime Expo, but we’ll post it as soon as we find out~!

Last night, I felt like drawing something else though… anything else!  Ayame, from iROwiki forums, drew a really sexy picture of broccoli* for me, and it inspired me to try something sexy too!  It was just a quick doodle, but I’m happy since I never draw my own characters.  broccoli* is my gypsy from Ragnarok Online.  I used to play on iRO Loki, but have since quit since I never have time to play anymore.

Whew!!  Phi and I are finally back from Fanime.  It was an endurance-testing 4 days of sitting in AA (9 hours a day) *laugh*  It was really great to meet everyone though!  We’re sorry that we had no business cards, so hopefully our website’s name was memorable and you were able to find this place.  We’ll have to be more prepared for Anime Expo!  Expect tons of new arts from us.  There are only 4 weeks left, but we’re going to try our best!  We’ll be cosplaying too (if we can finish the outfits).  Perhaps you will recognize the characters?

Seriously… Not enough time to get ready *dies*  I’ve decided to probably put off the Reborn bookmarks until AX (although I’m going to try to make buttons anyway XD).  I’m thinking of adding Suzaku + Kallen (Code Geass) to my bookmarks list too.  I’m sure I’ll be regretting that when I’m actually getting ready for the convention.  Fanime is only 1 month before AX after all!

Here’s an update though!  Yay for finally getting to use bold colors and boobies!  She’s still a work in progress *laugh*  I’m not sure whether to make these keychains, bookmarks, or both!  I’m really leaning towards bookmarks right now since I don’t really have any to sell yet… XD;; /fails.  I finished the sketches for Simon, Kamina, and Nia last night~  I want to try and add Rossiu and Kittan too <3  I know there were more characters I wanted to draw, but I can’t seem to remember who…  Maybe I’ll do young version Simon or Princely Simon also?  Hmm…

 Also, we’ll probably be somewhere in the middle of our Artist Alley group, around T14, for Fanime~  Please come visit and take a look around~

Feeling burnt out from all the Artist Alley preparation…  I tried to start working on Katekyo Hitman Reborn bookmarks, but it just wasn’t working.  I have ideas for both chibis and regular arts, but none of them are coming out right…  It’s so hard ;_;  I decided to take a break, and draw the resident asshole (but pretty boy *laugh*) Lelouch Lamperouge!  It’s the first time I’ve used Open Canvas for over 6 years!!  Scary, huh?  I’ve decided to make this into a bookmark.  I want to make a matching C.C. bookmark, but I’m unsure of how it should look…  Oh well, Lelouch can be glamorous enough for the both of them.

Also, I found out my lovely CG Club friends (Kenji & Lisa) will be at table T37 for Fanime (so far away! ;-;).  Phi and I (MP.Net) will be somewhere in the mush of T11-17, and my lovely friend Khiro-chan <3 will be somewhere between T6-10!!  Only 2 weeks *dies!*

So I only was able to color two chibis last night~  My favorites, Cloud & Tifa!!  Now I’ve got my groove on though~  I planned to do full 100% backgrounds, but after seeing the style I colored these in… I think fadeout/cropped backgrounds would be cuter~  I want Tifa to be at the entrance of Nibelheim (where you first see her in the game), but I’m not sure about Cloud!  He’s from Nibelheim too~  I was thinking about the mansion or the road to the Shinra mako reactor… but those places are so depressing.  If I put him at the Soldier Training Room, he would be so far away from Tifa too!  Actually, I just came up with the most perfect idea!!  I’ll draw him on the snowy cliffs where he first chatted with Zack (about being from the boonies) <3  That was one of my favorite scenes, and I’m sure if you guys play the game… it will be one of yours too!  Sorry Tifa, but that scene wins out!  Not my fault he’s too wussy to take off his helmet in front of you XD!

Aloha!  Kix here in the midst of prepping for Fanime Artist Alley.  Phi and I have so many series we want to draw, it’s not even funny.  Hopefully you’ll be seeing stuff from us that includes: Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, D Gray Man, Phoenix Wright/Gyakuten Saiban, and Gurren Lagann.  We’ll be bringing out other bookmarks/postcards for Kingdom Hearts, Ouran Host Club, Death Note and Zelda: Twilight Princess too!  We’ll also be sharing the table with our friends from CG Club!  They have various original prints, along with items from Okami, Final Fantasy and Gurren Lagann!  It will be exciting (for sure~)!  Please comment if there are other series you’d like to see.

An early heads up is that we will be somewhere at tables T11-T17 (the bottom right)!  And just to give you a preview, I finished the lineart and flats for the FF7CC keychains I’ll be making~  Now to finish colouring them and designing the various backgrounds ^_^v <3

While cleaning up my files on the computer, I found Phi and I’s work in progresses for our AX Anime Matsuri collaboration from Summer 2006. I remember it was difficult for us to draw before the deadline because Phi and I were 400 miles apart for summer break! Phi ended up visiting me the week before it was due, and we worked together to get this done! I worked on the girl, and Phi worked on the guy, but in the end both of us did lineart and colouring for both the characters. We like to mix it up when we do collaborations~ We coloured it with COPIC marker and airbrushed the background. Everyone loves the AX red block <3 The background could have been more detailed but we were low on time.

We won the theme “Anime Expo Festival” and the prize was to have their work put on one of the 15th anniversary cakes! It was really neat. We attended the festival, and I had about three slices of cake. It was soooo delicious! I think it was some sort of lemon cream cake?

Our cake looked so cool, but we didn’t get a slice of it since they had 3 other cakes to cut through first *laugh* Oh well, we still took a lot of pictures. Happy 15th Anniversary! (Although it would be on 17th this year?)

Phi and I finally finished the website, and can finally post on our blog!  We just got back from a Hawaii trip with our friends early April, where we ate delicious pineapples, swam with a sea turtle, got lost while kayaking, bought tons of macadamia nuts and LUPICIA teas, and relaxed on the beach.  We ended up getting sun burnt, but it was worth it!

Phi is out sick today, and I’m busy at work/moving apartments, but we’ll be updating soon with our arts for http://www.acparadise.com!  Afterwards, it will be a long, hard road to Artist Alley at Fanime and Anime Expo this year~  We hope to see you there!
